Mesh Network Design and/or Installation
Wireless mesh networks essentially act as a distributed Ethernet switch and are commonly used to aggregate and distribute internet, LAN, voice and video throughout an area. Typical uses include distributing internet and LAN throughout an office complex, capturing video from security and traffic cameras, tying remote office locations together, or deploying a public safety network.

A mesh network is a number of point to multipoint wireless links that distribute Ethernet access across a given area. The mesh nodes can be located from a few hundred feet apart to several miles. Each mesh node is situated so that it can communicate with at least two other nodes which allows load sharing and provides multiple data paths in case of equipment failure.

Mesh networking equipment operates in the 2.4 ghz, 4.9 ghz, and 5.8 ghz bands and can be tied to access points to allow any authorized computer with a standard wireless card to have network access. Standard features include support for mobility, voice, video, 256 bit AES encryption, VLAN's, captive portal, and walled garden applications. Wireless Consulting Services, LLC has a Firetide Certified Mesh Engineer on staff. We are available to provide either a design only or full turnkey installation on your project utilizing an equipment vendor of your choice. Please contact us for more information or to discuss your project.
